The project will continue on!
The work on the Conference Center Lodge will continue as soon as the snow is gone. At this time the building is mostly done! Praise The Lord! The inside just needs some final inspections, some work in the kitchen, and finishing touches throughout the building. The outside of the building still needs a lot more work. The two small porches need to be built, the half log siding needs to be finished, all the chinking (caulking between the logs), and all the sidewalks. The Lord continues to bless this ministry by allowing us to slowly move forward with this construction and finally it is almost done.
Again this year past, we had one wonderful group that came to minister with us.
First, is a youth group and their leaders (all guys) that are coming for a week from,
Cornerstone Church of Skippack, Skippack, Pennsylvania. This is Tim Lindsay's home church, our Operations Director.
Second, a another group is coming from our most involved workgroup church (at least the 13th workgroup to come and serve)
Indian Valley Faith Fellowship, Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Perry and Sandy's PA home church
Also, two groups of five retired couples will be coming from all over the country, to minister here for six weeks in the months of August and September.
Volunteer Mobile Missionaries (VMM) from all over the USA.
And finally, to all of you in this area that have helped on the lodge --
Loving people from all over this area.
Thanks to their/your love for our Lord and their/your servant hearts, the Conference Center Lodge is well over half way done. All work on this project is stopped for the winter, but we will continue the work next spring.
We do have a large need for prayer and finances.
Unfortunately, as we continued construction this past summer, we came up against a problem with some permits and inspections to finish the lodge. We will need to use more licensed installers to install a fire proof stove range hood, vent fans, heaters, and woodstove. This change is because we are defined as a commercial facility, so more restrictions apply to us.
Because of these changes, we will need to raise $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 more to finish these changes.
Please be in prayer for:
* the permits and inspections that are needed
* the $32,000.00 - $50,000.00 extra funds needed
And Praise our Lord for:
* the volunteers needed to keep the work going
